Rare Awesome Short Video of Pileated Woodpecker Leelanau County Michigan 2010

A large and rare to see Pileated Woodpecker visits a bird feeder in my Mom's back yard this winter 2010. He was here and gone so fast that we had to slow the video down some to get a good look at him. He's a beauty isn't he? Mom did a good job recording with her digital camera, GT did the video editing/slow-down.

The pileated woodpecker made us a visit. It parked itself on the railing in the snow, then climbed up the tree. It ended up on the bird feeder, swinging madly. The music is the late Oliver Schroer's "The Colour of Snow".
